Things are getting worse for struggling PS5 and PC FPS game Concord

Whatever the case, there’s really no point sugarcoating it: those PC numbers are awful. We’re not really sure what the platform holder can do to turn things around at this point, but it’s going to have to do a huge internal review, because it’s gone from being one of the biggest hits in its history with Helldivers 2 to being one of its biggest flops ever.

Original article: There’s so much to talk about Concord, Firewalk Studios’ debut shooter, that we may need to write a full review at some point. Now isn’t the time, though, as the title only officially released on PS5 and PC yesterday. As predicted, it’s been particularly poor on Steam, where it only reached 697 concurrent players at its peak.

That’s significantly lower than other high-profile flops like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (which peaked at 13,459 players) and Redfall (which peaked at 6,124 players). The other big release this week, Black Myth: Wukong, peaked at 2.4 million players. That’s not a fair comparison, as it’s a completely different type of game, but it puts things into perspective.

It is worth noting that these figures only account for Steam, and judging by our anecdotal observations, there are clearly more people are playing on PS5. Although crossplay can be disabled, we left it on and almost all Players will have a PlayStation logo next to their username on the score screen. Of course, this is just an indication, and we still don’t know for sure How many play on Sony’s system.
