FRIDAY FROM 4:30 PM TO MIDNIGHT | PLYMOUTH ARTS CENTRE

Head to Plymouth this Friday for the 20th annual live music benefit. The event features 11 live bands, food, and a silent auction. bracelet cost $10.

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AT 7 PM | THE PABST THEATER

This Friday and Saturday is Christmas in August with ventriloquist and comedian Jeff Dunham. These shows are being filmed for Dunham’s Christmas/holiday stand-up special on Amazon Prime. Tickets are available now.

FRIDAY FROM 1-3 PM | St. James Episcopal Church

To celebrate 50 years of Historic Milwaukee, the organization is hosting special tours in August. A tour guide will lead the group through churches in downtown Milwaukee. Registration is required. Click here Here for more informations.

FRIDAY AT 8 PM | VIVARIUM

The actor and musician, best known for his roles in Outer Banks and Nashville, will perform with The Belle Weather this Friday. His album Love Ain’t Pretty was released in January. Tickets can be purchased on-line.

The final two days of Bronzeville Week – Milwaukee’s annual celebration of African-American culture, history, art, business and entertainment – ​​are this Friday and Saturday. There will be different events each day. For more information, visit Here.

SATURDAY FROM 9 AM TO 4 PM | Milwaukee Academy of Sciences

The 23rd Annual Back to School Health Fair includes: school-mandated immunizations for children (no insurance required), health screenings for children and adults, free backpacks and school supplies for children (while supplies last), food vendors, and kid-friendly activities. No registration required.

SATURDAY FROM 10:30 AM TO 6:00 PM | SUMMER FESTIVAL GROUNDS

The Bloody Mary Festival is coming to Milwaukee for the fifth year. There will be two sessions, each with different times for VIP and general admission tickets. SATURDAY FROM 8 AM TO 4 PM | 500 N. HARBOR DRIVE

This annual competition celebrating culture and community takes place on the shores of Lake Michigan. Teams of 20 paddlers, a drummer and a helmsman pilot colorful dragon-headed boats through the water. There is also food, performances and activities for all ages.

SATURDAY FROM 1-8 PM | BRADFORD BEACH

Bradford Beach is transformed this Saturday as Bloom Beach hosts Milwaukee’s first EDM beach festival. Registration is required. Hereand guests can look forward to EDM artists, local vendors and interactive attractions.

The Morning Glory Art Fair features over 130 vendors from across the country showcasing ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, paintings, mixed media, photography, wood and more. Admission to this event is free.

Mae Simpson, voted “Best New Band” by City Pages readers, will perform live with special guest The Foxgloves. They are best known for their funk, soul and rock and roll. Tickets can be purchased Here.

The 40th annual UNCF Walk for Education will take place Saturday at Veterans Park. Proceeds will help UNCF raise funds to support its students. Register Here.
