This surprising retailer offers many skin and hair care products starting at

The memes about not being able to leave Target with Only what you wanted and the romanticization of Target stores? I never knew that, having grown up in cities without Target. I still didn’t understand it when they started popping up in New York City. My friends explained that it’s because they’re supposed to be these very large stores, full of every product imaginable, with an atmosphere that invites endless strolling. (The opposite of anything and everything that exists in NYC.)

The online experience wasn’t particularly exciting either—at least until recently. Whenever I was looking for an everyday eyeshadow, a cheap lip mask, or something similar, Target would pop up. So often that one day I spent an hour browsing the digital shelves and ended up with a cart filled with a dozen products. For financial reasons, I pared that down to three products: Naturium’s Glow Getter Multi-Oil Body Butter, Ogx’s Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Healing Dry Oil, and Clinique’s Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Tinted Moisturizer.

Naturium Glow Getter Multi-Oil Body Butter

Goal

This is actually a repurchase. I finished a jar of this Naturium body butter about a year ago and have been mourning it ever since. It’s always sold out on the brand’s website, so it was a double surprise to see it at Target And in stock.

It is as rich as a butter, but as smooth and slippery as an oil. It spreads effortlessly on my skin and is absorbed within a few minutes. It leaves no residue, but a slight shimmer, a sparkle on the legs. Naturium’s Glow Getter Body Butter feels like a luxury that is three times as expensive as it actually is.

Ogx Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Healing Dry Oil

Goal

I’m a late starter in the hair oil world and I’m making up for lost time by trying everything I can. This Ogx oil is a no-brainer. First, it’s $8, which is the price of my ice latte after the tip. Second, argan oil is a GOATed hair care ingredient – it promotes a healthy scalp which leads to shiny hair, protects against external damage, and heals breakage and split ends. Third, it has thousands of five-star reviews.

The review that won me over comes from a buyer with “pretty dead” hair that he had bleached more than half a dozen times. “Since I’ve been using this, my hair is smooth and shiny and not split. My colleagues are constantly asking me if I’ve just been to the hairdresser.”

Clinique Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Tinted Moisturizer

Goal

My Clinique bag has been with me ever since I tried the new Black Honey Mascara. The formula had a wow factor that surprised me and now I’m inspired to try more Clinique products, starting with this tinted moisturizer.

It’s a multi-functional makeup/skincare product that I especially love in the summer – the fewer layers the better. It hydrates (hyaluronic acid), soothes the skin (aloe vera) and has SPF 25 sun protection. And the tint? It’s subtle but has a transformative “flawless finish” that never fails to garner compliments, at least according to happy reviewers.
