Timberwolves fans receive update on broadcast partner for upcoming season

The NBA season begins in two months, and Minnesota Timberwolves fans are excited to see their team play at a high level again. With one of the best rosters in the Western Conference, Minnesota has what it takes to get back to the Conference Finals and possibly the NBA Finals in 2025.

Looking ahead to next season, the Timberwolves’ roster is now mostly set, aside from a few potential pre- or post-season signings. But by and large, Minnesota fans know what their team will look like next season. One of the only big questions left was about the team’s broadcast partners.

With games previously broadcast on Bally Sports North, there were questions about Bally’s future as a broadcaster, but now Wolves fans have the answers.

A recent announcement from Diamond Sports Group made it clear that the Timberwolves will continue to play on the network during the 2024-25 NBA season. Diamond, the parent company of Bally Sports’ regional networks, announced the termination of its contracts with the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans for the upcoming season.

The parent company is currently trying to recover from its bankruptcy, which caused it to cut ties with the Mavericks and Pelicans. Fortunately, the Timberwolves remain on the short list of 13 NBA teams whose games will continue to be broadcast on Bally.

This means Wolves fans can look forward to hearing the voices of Michael Grady and Jim Peterson when Minnesota’s season begins in October.
