Toledo police search for man who smashed car windows at GT Auto Repair

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Some GT Auto Repair customers are now paying more than they paid for following an incident Sunday in which a group of men shattered nearly a dozen car windows by throwing rocks or kicking them.

South Reynolds Road location manager Mike Qublawe captured everything on camera.

“We have no quarrel with anyone,” said Qublawe.

He said this was a major blow to his business and his reputation in Toledo.

“To be honest, we don’t have time for this,” said Qublawe. “It hurts me and it hurts my customers too.”

Now Qublawe has to call the affected customers and tell them their windows are ruined. This could cost them thousands.

He added that one of the cars belonged to a mother who was already struggling financially. Qublawe said she burst into tears when he broke the news to her.

Qublawe is tired of looking for the culprits and said he wants Toledo police to punish them to the fullest extent of the law.

“I want them to go to prison, that’s how it should be,” said Qublawe.

Qublawe said he would send the compensation bill to the suspects and their parents.

Qublawe told 13 Action News that similar activity has occurred at his other location, Crissey Auto Auction, in recent weeks.
