Toledo resident wins ,000 in Ohio Lotto Pick 5 lottery drawing

TOLEDO, OH — An Ohio Lottery player won $25,208 in the Aug. 6 Pick 5 evening drawing using winning numbers 5-3-1-8-6.

The winning ticket was purchased at S & G #48 on West Sylvania Avenue in Toledo.

After mandatory 28% state and federal taxes, the winner will receive approximately $18,149.76. Pick 5 is a daily drawing game with drawings occurring every day at 12:29 p.m. and 7:20 p.m.

    DANBURY, CT — David, a dedicated Cash5 player, recently won a $100,000 jackpot, marking a significant win in his long history with the game.

    On August 2, he picked up his prize, which he purchased at Tienda Ecuador in Danbury after waiting in line for 15 minutes. The morning after purchasing the ticket, David learned of his win, much to the delight of his wife, Penney, and himself.

    The couple plans to use the prize money to top up their retirement savings.

  • Waldorf resident wins $50,000 scratch card

    WALDORF, MD – A Charles County man plans to purchase a new truck after winning the $50,000 top prize on a Gold Rush 7s Tripler scratch-off ticket during a routine visit to his favorite lottery location.

    The asphalt contractor purchased the $5 winning ticket at the Dash In at 30100 Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall. Much to the man’s surprise, the scratch-off ticket featured a symbol with the number “7,” which matched the jackpot prize.

    In addition to the winner’s plans for their new vehicle, Dash In will receive a $500 bonus from the lottery for selling a grand prize ticket. The Gold Rush 7s Tripler game, which began sales in May, still offers five grand prizes worth $50,000, plus additional prizes ranging from $5 to $5,000.

  • Armed felon taken into custody in Baltimore

    BALTIMORE, MD – Officers from the Western District Action Team made an arrest for a firearms violation during an investigation on Thursday evening.

    On August 8th at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers conducted an investigation in the 1300 block of North Fremont Avenue that resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old male suspect. A loaded handgun was seized during the arrest.

    The suspect, who is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to previous convictions, was taken to the central reception facility and charged with the violation.
