All Elite Wrestling returns with another star-studded show on the August 16 episode of AEW Rampage.
Tonight’s matches will see Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian square off after the two met backstage at AEW Collision last week for a chat. Saraya will also talk about the world of AEW, where she will likely discuss a possible spot in a match next weekend at Wembley Stadium. A trios match between The Conglomeration and The Butcher & The Outrunners is also scheduled.
Elsewhere during the night, Top Flight will be dedicated to the MxM collection, Nyla Rose will be in action and more.
AEW Rampage Results
Match 1: The Conglomeration defeated The Butcher & The Outrunners by pinfall
In the opening match of the night, The Conglomeration kept their opponents busy for most of the match. Towards the end, Briscoe landed a big Jay Driller finisher on Truth Magnum, forcing him to pin after he had jumped out of the ring and fired shots at the Outrunners just minutes earlier.
Match 2: Nyla Rose defeats Erica Leigh by pinfall
This was no contest for Leigh as she was quickly taken down by Rose with a powerslam to start the match. Rose then went to work, taking a dropkick and then landing the Beast Bomb for the quick win.
In-Ring Segment: Saraya and Harley Cameron
In the ring, Harley says that tomorrow is Saraya’s birthday and that everyone should be ashamed of themselves for not knowing and not wishing her a happy birthday. The Superstar starts singing her Happy Birthday, but Saraya interrupts her. Saraya said that she won the AEW Women’s World Championship at Wembley Stadium a year ago and after losing, she never got the chance for a rematch. Since then, she has lost friends, been banned from pay-per-views, and more.
Before she could say more, Toni Storm came to the ring. After taunting her for a while, Storm said that if Saraya could beat her next week at AEW Dynamite, she would give up her spot at Wembley Stadium and let Saraya challenge for the title.
Match 3: Nick Wayne defeats Kip Sabian by pinfall
This match ended pretty quickly as Sabian caught Wayne with a massive moonsault but couldn’t do much else. In the end, after some interference from Mother Wayne and Killswitch, Nick hit the Wayne’s World for the pin and win.
Match 4: Kyle Fletcher & RUSH defeat Rhett Titus & KM by pinfall
This was another super fast fight, with Fletcher knocking Titus to the ground with a massive slam and RUSH then throwing him into the corner to do even more damage. After a Bull’s Horns, this fight was over.
Match 5: Top Flight defeats MxM Collection by pinfall
In the main event of the evening, Top Flight emerged victorious with a clear victory. They stumbled a bit at the beginning, but were able to recover after Mansoor was distracted by some posing between Madden and Leila.
Once Top Flight got the upper hand, they didn’t let go and the match ended after Darius hit Martin Mansoor with a powerful brainbuster and Dante followed up with a splash from the top ropes for the pin.
