Top junior tight end recruits for the 2024 season

With the 2024 Ohio high school football season upon us, it’s time to take a look at some of the state’s highest-rated recruits. In this series, we’ll focus on the top recruits at a handful of positions for a specific graduating class.

We started by introducing you to the top senior recruits at 10 different positions – quarterbacks, running backs, linebackers, edge rushers, wide receivers, defensive backs, tight ends, offensive linemen and defensive linemen.

Then we moved on to the top young recruits, starting with the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers. Now we’re taking a look at the top young tight end recruits in Ohio for the 2024 season.

The best tight end in the 2026 class is Brayden Fogle of Lexington, the fourth-best recruit in Ohio’s junior class.

1.Brayden Fogle, Lexington; 1.90 m, 102 kg (No. 4 overall in Ohio’s class of 2026)
Unbound

As a sophomore, he caught 33 balls for 529 yards and scored eight touchdowns. Fogle, who also plays basketball for the Minutemen, has offers from universities such as Georgia, Michigan, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

2. Land Miree, Princeton; 1.93 m, 97 kg (No. 21 overall)
Unbound

Has made 24 catches for 371 yards and holds more than 20 offers, including Florida, Oregon, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

3. PJ MacFarlane, Lakota East; 1.95 m, 93 kg (No. 23 overall)
Unbound

Had 12 catches for 126 yards for the Thunderhawks last season. Offers include Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan State.

4. Cooper McCutcheon, Archbishop Möller; 1.93 m, 100 kg (No. 28 overall)
Unbound

Already has nearly 20 offers, including from Kentucky, Louisville, Indiana and Pittsburgh.

5. Preston Fryzel, Toledo Central Catholic Church; 1.93 m, 95 kg (No. 37 overall)
Unbound

Had 300 yards rushing with two touchdowns last season as Toledo Central Catholic took home the Division III state title. Has more than 10 offers, including Cincinnati, Kentucky, Minnesota and Pittsburgh.
