Aside from the benefits of pleasant weather and less crowds, vacation budgets tend to be cheaper in autumn than in summer and winter, according to Airbnb.com.
According to the report, there are 10 cities in the U.S. that offer travelers cheap and affordable Airbnb rates during the fall compared to the rest of the year, which are the months of September through November.
Airbnb used data on global average daily prices from 2022 and 2023 to identify which U.S. cities saw the largest percentage decline in nightly price between June and August 2023 and September and November 2023.
The list of affordable travel destinations includes Somers Point in New Jersey.
Somers Point is the coastal destination of Ocean City and Atlantic City with many beaches nearby and offers visitors countless recreational opportunities. Absecon Lighthouse, shopping in Smithville Village, hiking in Wharton State Forest, bird watching at Edwin Forsythe Wildlife Refuge, kayaking in the Jersey Pine Barrens.
There are over 1,000 Airbnb listings in Somers Point with prices starting at $122 per night.
