The 10 races scheduled for Friday, August 9, at Saratoga Race Course have been canceled due to heavy rains and winds associated with Tropical Storm Debby, which is forecast to impact Saratoga and the Capital Region overnight and throughout Friday, the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) announced Thursday evening.
The $125,000 races “Evan Shipman” and “Union Avenue” presented on Friday will be postponed.
Saratoga Racetrack is closed to the public on Friday.
Live racing is scheduled to resume Saturday at Saratoga with the first start at 12:35 p.m. Eastern Time.
The GI FanDuel Fourstardave and the GI Saratoga Derby Invitational, scheduled for Saturday, August 10, will now be the final two races on Sunday, August 11.
