A gold medal is a gold medal. You don’t have to tell that to Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton or his longtime girlfriend and former college cheerleader Jade Jones.
He didn’t play much during the U.S. team’s gold medal run, but he still won a gold medal. He even joked about his lack of playing time while posing with his gold medal.
He wrote, “When you do nothing on the group project and still get an A.” His friend Jade’s time with the gold medal, however, was more serious.
Preparing to destroy the beaches of Saint-Tropez and Cannes, she wrote beforehand: “From dream to reality!!! You did it my GOLD medalist! I am so proud of you!!! We are just getting started!!”
The lack of playing time didn’t bother Jade at all. She was there before the Olympics started and she would be there during and after it ended.
The best part of the trip to France hadn’t even started yet, just showing her support for the Pacers star while sending the message that there’s more to come.

They didn’t want to travel all the way to Paris for a few weeks and then turn around and head home after winning gold. They wanted to make a few stops on French beaches.
And that’s exactly what they did. Haliburton earned most of his gold on the bench, Jade Jones earned hers by the water.
As you can see, this is an experienced pair on and off the field. The minutes played don’t matter. All that matters are the results. And the results speak for themselves.
You leave France with a gold medal. That is an achievement that not everyone can claim.
You can be sure that they will make the most of their time off the court. The next NBA season is coming up sooner than you think.
Haliburton will soon be back to work hoping for another solid season after averaging 20.1 points per game last season and leading the league with a personal-high 10.9 assists per game.
