In the preliminary bouts, Australian Junior Tafa takes on Valter Walker. Tafa is 2-2 in his last four fights, while Walker’s winning streak ended in his Octagon debut in April. Local contenders Joshua Culibao and Ricardo Ramos both look to end their two-fight losing streaks.

UFC 305 Preview

Du Plessis is on a roll, having defeated former champion Robert Whittaker to earn a fight against then-champion Sean Strickland. The 30-year-old former kickboxing champion defeated Strickland in a mixed scores fight to win the belt. The South African will be looking to defend his title for the first time.

Adesanya has a 2-2 record in his last four fights. The New Zealand fighter has lost, won and lost the UFC middleweight title in two years. After a year off, “The Last Stylebender” is ready to become champion for the third time.

The co-main event will see Kai Kara-France and Steve Erceg face off in the flyweight division. Kara-France has a 0-2 record in his last two fights since battling for flyweight gold. New Zealander Kara-France has 11 wins by knockout. Erceg lost his 11-fight winning streak to Alexandre Pantoja for flyweight gold. The Australian has six wins by submission.

Dan “The Hangman” Hooker looks to extend his winning streak to three against top-ranked lightweight contender Mateusz Gamrot. Meanwhile, crowd favorites Tai Tuivasa and Li Jingliang return to action.
