On August 24, Floyd Mayweather will face John Gotti III in a rematch at the Arena Ciudad de México. live on DAZN. On the undercard the undefeated middleweight John “The Candyman” Easter (6-0, 6 KOs), who is signed to Mayweather’s TMT Promotions, is expected to return to the ring to face Luis Morales Duran (5-1, 5 KOs).The 22-year-old Charlestown native and his trainer Bob Santos spoke ahead of the Duran fight.

Easter reveals gratitude for the opportunity

The 22-year-old Charleston native has knocked out every opponent, four of them in the first round. This will undoubtedly be the biggest stage he has ever fought on and his first fight this year after joining forces with renowned trainer Bob Santos.

Speaking about the upcoming fight as the undercard to Mayweather vs. Gotti III, Easter said: “I’m thrilled to be back in the ring, especially in a tournament of this magnitude,” said Easter. “Fighting in Mexico has always been a special experience for me as it was where I made my professional debut and I’m ready to put on a show for the fans.
