Salt Lake City — Utah360°, the official mobile app of Utah Athletics, has released an updated version with new features and functionality, just in time for Utah’s fall sports season, including the football team’s season-opening game on Thursday, August 29, at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

The Utah360° app serves as the Utah Athletics’ digital hub, providing fans with exclusive video content including game highlights, player interviews, podcasts and more. The app also offers the ability to order mobile beverages at Rice-Eccles Stadium, manage and purchase tickets, get Utah Athletics news, and get schedules, stats and scores. Users will benefit from an improved interface with intuitive navigation and a clean look and feel.

“Our team at Utah360° is one of the most innovative leaders in the name, image and likeness space,” said Derek Mattsson, CEO of For The Win 360°, developers of the Utah360° app. “This is more than a relaunch; it’s a complete reinvention and reimagining of the app’s potential. We’ve rebuilt the app from the ground up to create enhanced features like ticket account access and mobile concession ordering. We’re proud to provide a platform that increases fan engagement and supports the Utes’ sports programs and student-athletes by providing new monetization opportunities and insights to help them succeed on and off the field.”

Key features of the brand new Utah360° app:

  • Discounts when ordering via mobile: Mobile ordering is now available at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
  • Seamless ticketing: Buy and manage Utes sports tickets within the app so you never miss the biggest games of the season.

“The enhanced Utah360° app provides our fans with an all-in-one mobile hub for video, news and information,” said Mark Harlan, Utah’s athletic director. “The ability to manage tickets, order refreshments over the phone and access news, stats and information greatly enhances our fans’ game experience. For our student-athletes, it provides opportunities for brand development and visibility and we are excited to introduce this upgrade to strengthen our support for student-athletes.”

“The Utah360° app enables unprecedented connectivity between student-athletes and fans,” said Alex Smith, University of Utah football legend and former NFL quarterback. “Utah360° is a fantastic platform for storytelling and community building. As someone who understands the importance of visibility and brand management, I see this app as a critical resource for student-athletes to take control of their stories and prepare for the future. It fosters an environment where athletes can succeed and fans can become an integral part of their journey.”

“As a former athlete, I recognize the importance of tools that improve fan engagement and athlete visibility,” said Jesse Boone, former University of Utah and NFL football player. “The Utah360° app provides that and more by providing statistics and insights to help fans stay informed and connected. It also provides a platform for student-athletes to showcase their talents and personalities and create opportunities for growth and partnerships. This app is designed to celebrate athletes and build a community around their successes.”

“The Utah360° app is a game changer for student-athletes like myself, allowing us to showcase our journey and connect with fans in meaningful ways,” said Avery Neff, a gymnast at the University of Utah. “Through exclusive content, we can share our stories and build a personal brand that extends beyond sports. This app is an important tool in empowering student-athletes and provides us with the platform to engage with our community and pursue new opportunities in our athletic and personal lives.”

Utah360° gives student-athletes the opportunity to gain new names, images and likenesses. It also provides sponsors with an innovative way to support universities and athletes and provides greater visibility for the brands that support these student-athletes.
