Velera provides contact center services for Civic Federal

Credit Union Services Organization (CUSO) Velera provides contact center services and support for Federal Credit Uniona digital credit union serving local government employees and their families across North Carolina.

“We believe that developing new approaches, empowering our members and developing unique solutions will lead to a successful partnershipand we are excited about everything we will achieve in our new relationship with Velera,” Mary MooreSenior Vice President of Member Experiences at Civic, said in a press release Thursday (August 22).

Velera will provide support services for Civic’s member experience starting this fallsays the statement.

According to the press release, 24/7 member support through the company’s contact centers is one of the many services and financial technology solutions Velera offers to financial institutions.

“Civic’s approach to digital and people-centric financial services fits perfectly with our goals at Velera,” Brian ScottExecutive Vice President and Chief Growth Officer at Velera, said in the press release. “We want to provide the credit union and its members with high-quality and enhanced contact center services and offerings.”

Velera serves more than 4,000 financial institutions across North America, according to the press release. In addition to member support, the CUSO also offers payment processing, fraud and risk management, data and analytics, digital banking, instant payments, strategic consulting, collections, ATM and POS networks, and shared branching.

Formerly known as PSCU/Co-op Solutions, CUSO is currently implementing Velera. brand gradually over the next year.

The joint efforts of PSCU/Co-op, the combined in January, will be crystallized in an Emerging Services team and a FinTech advisory group that will help Credit unions pursue an innovative approach to new sales channels and digital initiatives, Chuck FaganPresident and CEO of Velera, PYMNTS CEO Karen Webster said in an interview published in June.

“Connecting these segments with the FinTechs and the more than 4,000 financial institutions” served by Velera “puts us in a good position” to modernize credit unions’ operations and offerings, Fagan said.
