Wayne Brady had his first reality TV show a few weeks ago and received mostly positive reactions.

In the series “Wayne Brady: The Family Remix” Wayne can be seen with his ex-wife Mandie Taketa, their daughter Maile Brady and Mandie’s boyfriend Jason Fordham.

The group is known as the “Core Four” and the episodes focus on the everyday life of this unique blended family.

Among the topics covered in the episodes was the revelation that Wayne has a young son with another woman, which few knew about until the first episode.

Family Remix also covers Wayne’s coming out as pansexual, which he officially did in 2023.

But while many viewers are excited about the new show, others complained about the Freeform network and its reality TV series for important reasons.

Viewers said they “couldn’t watch it” and called the station after Family Remix

The Freeform network, Wayne Brady and the various cast members of Family Remix often share photos and clips highlighting episodes of the reality TV show.

Her Instagram posts received mostly positive comments about the show, but there were also some complaints and concerns.

“I love this show,” wrote one commenter, while another said, “You and The Core Four doing this show is wonderful!! You will help so many people!! Much respect to you and your journey!!!”

One viewer said they watched Family Remix in Canada on Disney+ and “absolutely love @mrbradybaby and his family!”

However, the viewer added: “The sound is terrible in every episode. The background music is too loud every time they talk. Hopefully this can be fixed.”

In several Instagram posts, Freeform reminded fans that they could “stream Wayne Brady: The Family Remix on @hulu” after the episode aired on Freeform.

One commenter replied to tell Feeform that they were having difficulty watching the episodes due to an audio issue.

“I’m not sure if anyone else noticed, but the music is too loud when you hear the family talking,” the person commented, adding, “I’m not sure if it’s just me on Disney Plus, but the music drowns out the dialogue because it’s so loud.”

The commentator praised the show and said: “I love you guys and this show so much!!!”

Another person commented on Freeform, calling the network “pathetic.”

“I still can’t believe that this company and its CEO, a good channel for youth dramas, have turned into a mere but cheap MTV!!! for reality content that will soon be cancelled,” said the commentator.

Family Remix airs on Freeform and is available on demand

The Freeform network’s channel is part of many cable, satellite and streaming TV platforms, and Wayne’s reality TV series airs weekly on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. Eastern Time.

“Family Remix” premiered on Freeform on July 31 and has aired four episodes so far, the last one on August 14.

So far, episodes have featured tracks from hip-hop songs such as 2Pac’s “All Eyez on Me,” Kanye West’s “Through the Wire” and Nas’ “NY State of Mind.” A fifth episode will air on Wednesday, August 21.

Viewers can watch episodes live as they air, on demand with a Hulu subscription, or by accessing Freeform’s on-demand library.

Other popular shows and movies are listed on the Freeform website, including several reality programs: “Royal Rules of Ohio” and “Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise.”

Another popular series on the site, “Chrissy and Dave Dine Out,” features Chrissy Teigen and David Chang, along with other celebrities, sampling cuisines from different locations.

Some of the youth programming on Freeform’s website includes “Make It or Break It,” “Switched at Birth,” and “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.”

MTV is known for evolving from a network that focused on music and music videos to one that now also airs reality TV shows like “Jersey Shore,” “The Challenge” and “Teen Mom.” One commenter suggested that Freeform is doing just that.

It’s unclear if complaints about Wayne Brady: The Family Remix’s audio also apply to viewers watching on Freeform or Hulu. So far, only Disney+ has been mentioned in the comments.

At the time of this writing, Freeform has not responded to user complaints or criticisms regarding the network’s audio issues or programming.

Wayne Brady: The Family Remix airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on Freeform and on demand on Hulu.
