VOTE: Better Creed Album – “Human Clay” vs. “My Own Prison”

It’s Creed’s year, but which is the band’s best album – My own prison or Human sound? That’s the debate at the center of Chuck’s Fight Club this week on the Loudwire Nights radio show.

Both had plenty of hits and played different roles in the band’s growth in the late ’90s and early 2000s. But does one stand out over the other? That’s where you come in.

The big breakthrough came in 1997 with the title song of the My own prison album. The slow-burning single picked up steam and paved the way for future success with “Torn,” “What’s This Life For,” and “One,” all of which were top-five singles on the Mainstream Rock charts.

This early breakthrough then opened the door to mainstream popularity, which followed in 1999. Human sound album. “Higher,” “What If,” “With Arms Wide Open,” and “Are You Ready” gave them four more top-five singles en route to huge album sales.

As with all Chuck’s Fight Club fights, Loudwire Nights Moderator Chuck Armstrong will present this week’s duel during the broadcast on Monday at 8 p.m. The focus will then be on the Human sound Album during the broadcast on Tuesday at 8 p.m., with My own prison on Wednesday at 8pm.
