Wallet stolen in Hinsdale, then credit card used: Police

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale Police released their latest police report on Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

theft

  • A man told police on August 17 that he lost his wallet in the 700 block of North York Road. Someone later used one of the man’s credit cards that was in the wallet.

  • A 21-year-old Chicago man was arrested at the corner of 55th and Madison Streets around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving on the wrong side of the road, operating a car in an unsafe condition and operating a car with a suspended or revoked registration. Police said the man was driving with a flat tire. The man took a test that revealed his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. He was released and given a court date.

Damage

  • A lamppost near a driveway in the 900 block of Harding Road was damaged overnight Saturday into Sunday.

Forgery

  • Someone forged a withdrawal receipt using a person’s bank account information on Friday at the Huntington Bank, 500 W. Chestnut St. The case is pending.
