BOERNE, Texas – Gunpowder Cabernet on Main Street in Boerne is the official store that produces t-shirts in support of Boerne Little League.
Candace Affeldt said the T-shirt sales at her store started as a small fundraiser after the Boerne Little League team learned they would be going to the Little League World Series following their win in Waco.
“We designed it and started printing it. And I thought it would just be some T-shirts for friends and family, and then it became a huge success and it was incredible,” Affeldt said.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from each jersey sold go to the team.
“This jersey was especially designed by the team itself,” said Affeldt.
The T-shirts printed in the store cost $35. A hat is also available. Affeldt prefers that people call the store in advance and order a T-shirt.
On Monday, after the team’s welcome parade, Affeldt will present them with a check for the money raised. She did not reveal how many jerseys have been sold so far.
