Watch a trailer for the hair metal documentary series “Nöthin’ But A Good Time”

Paramount+ has released the official trailer for Nothing but a good timehis upcoming documentary series about the “80s hair metal phenomenon that thrilled generations of music lovers and continues to influence culture today.”

Based on the book by Tom Beaujour and Richard Bienstock, Nöthin’ But a Good Time: The uncensored history of 80s hair metalthe three-part series directed by Jeff Tremaine (Donkey, The dirt) is scheduled to stream on Paramount+ starting September 17.

According to the press release, the series offers “fresh and shockingly candid behind-the-scenes looks at one of music’s most legendary eras. Each episode showcases the madness and fiery ambition that has thrilled generations of music lovers and continues to influence culture today.”

A number of rockers who have experienced it were interviewed, including Bret Michaels (Poison), Stephen Pearcy (Ratt), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Dave “Snake” Sabo (Skid Row) and Riki Rachtman (MTV’s Headbanger Ball), along with insights from Corey Taylor (Slipknot) and Steve-O (Donkey).

“I’m honored to be a part of this docuseries named after the Poison hit ‘Nothin’ But a Good Time,'” says Poison frontman Bret Michaels. “I’m excited to give viewers a new look at the fans and bands, the highs and lows, and to celebrate the music and good times of the ’80s and beyond. I hope the audience has as much fun as I did, and I can’t wait to give them an inside look at some of those notoriously crazy moments!”
