Wayne Brady recently reached an important milestone as a father: he introduced his newborn son Val Henry to his daughter Maīle Masako Brady.

According to People, the third episode of Wayne Brady: The Family Remix shows how the father of two children copes with life as a father after the birth of his little boy.

The episode is about Brady’s ex-girlfriend and Val’s mother Tina leaving her newborn son with Wayne and his older half-sister while she runs errands.

Brady, who has 21-year-old Maīle with ex-wife Mandie Taketa, took the opportunity to bond with Val, playfully greeting him with, “Hey, how’s it going, Mr. Val?”

“I know I’m not your mother and I don’t have movies and I smell different, but you heard me,” he continued. “Do you like the new place? You could come and stay here if you want.”

Maīle had previously expressed her reservations about Tina and her new half-brother. During the episode, however, she seems to put those feelings aside when she finally meets Val and gives him a hug, leading to a change of heart.

“It’s really a great feeling to meet Val. He’s so sweet. He’s beautiful,” Maīle gushed. “Yeah, I don’t feel the need to have a relationship with Tina in order to have a relationship with Dad or Val.”

Wayne admitted he was initially nervous about bringing his blended family together, but the heartwarming interaction between Maīle and Val seemed to allay those concerns.
