(CBS-DETROIT) – The Wayne County District Attorney’s Office is currently considering whether to file charges in the case Missing Detroit teenager Na’Ziyah Harris after receiving an arrest warrant from the Detroit police.

Maria Miller, communications director for the Wayne County District Attorney’s Office, and Detroit Sergeant Daron Zhou confirmed Thursday that the department had sent a warrant request to the district attorney’s office.

The review is expected to take some time and is not expected to be completed this week, according to Miller. Zhou and Miller were unable to provide any further details about the warrant application at this time.

Harris was last seen on January 9 after she got off her school bus at Clark Elementary School near Cornwall and Three Mile Drive in Detroit.

Her family reported her missing to the school district authorities The following day and on February 13, Detroit police took over the investigation.

Several searches were conducted to find Harris, and most recently 14 different law enforcement agencies searched an area along the Rouge River in March.
