It is with deepest sadness that the Preston family announces the passing of Wayne Hunter Preston on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the age of 63.
He leaves behind his brothers and sisters Max Preston (Judy), Gary Preston (Brenda), Ernie Preston (Kathy), Helen Stone, Gwen Wiseman, Grace Young (Rick) and Terri Preston, who will be lovingly remembered. Nieces and nephews: Paula Johnston, Jerry Stone, Allison Dixon, Lori Hunt, Jennifer Leonard, Gary Preston Jr., Dee Lak, Ashley Preston, Michelle Leonard, Kayla Wiseman Rose and Candi Morgan.
His parents, Maxwell and Ethel Preston, had predeceased him. His sisters, Linda Bowman and Doreen Hunt, and his brother, Paul Preston, had predeceased him.
We would like to thank the staff at Corner Brook Long Term Care 3 North for taking such good care of Wayne over the last few years. They have gone above and beyond for him and we truly appreciate it. We would also like to thank Country Haven Funeral Home for their professionalism.
A wake will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Country Haven Funeral Home. Burial will follow on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Patricia Cemetery with Major Brian Wheeler officiating. Flowers will not be provided by request, but donations may be made in your discretion.
