Weather forecast for Monday in Northeast Ohio: Turn off the air conditioning

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Monday could start with a few showers, but as the day progresses, skies should clear and temperatures will remain cool, with highs around 21 degrees. Forecasts from the National Weather Service show it will be windy, with steady winds of 15 to 17 mph. Despite the cooler temperatures, it will remain somewhat humid, but the air will dry overnight, when temperatures will drop to above 10 degrees and skies will be partly cloudy.

It will be cool again on Tuesday, with highs around 21 degrees and mostly sunny skies. Winds will be 22 to 26 km/h. The night will be clear and lows around 10 degrees. Sunny weather returns on Wednesday, but it will get warmer, with highs around 24 degrees. A trend of sunshine and rising temperatures begins, eventually rising again to around 28 degrees on Friday. The sunny and warmer weather continues into the weekend, with highs on Saturday around 28 degrees and highs on Sunday around 30 degrees.

The National Weather Service is warning residents of Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake and Ashtabula counties not to swim in Lake Erie until 5 p.m. Tuesday due to the possibility of dangerous rip currents.

The Cleveland metropolitan area will have two minutes and 30 seconds less daylight on Monday.
