Wendy’s is offering Frostys for for a limited time. Find out when the deal ends

No matter how you enjoy it, there’s nothing better than a cool cup of ice cream after a long, hot summer day. But how you eat it is the real question, according to Wendy’s, and now is the perfect time to find your answer.

The fast-food chain announced on Monday that it is offering sweet discounts on its iconic Frosty for a limited time. With the announcement came some interesting data on how to best indulge in the treat.

From August 5 through September 15, Wendy’s customers can enjoy a small Classic Chocolate Frosty for $1 or try the seasonal Triple Berry Frosty in its final days. A small typically costs between $1.69 and $2.49, depending on your location’s menu.

The question Wendy’s raises when passing on the offer is: How do you eat your Frosty?

If you’re like me and 15% of Frosty fans Wendy’s asked, you like to dip salty chips into the sweet treat. This option, the chain says, was most likely chosen by Generation Z. The largest group, 70%, reaches for the good old spoon, and the other 15% drink through a straw.

Wendy’s says its $1 Frosty offer “invites fans to grab a spoon, a straw And fry, then choose your preferred method.

It’s a tempting question and another trick to lure customers back into restaurants amid the price war in the fast-food market.

Customer traffic in the fast-food industry has declined due to rising menu prices and declining flexible spending. Chains from McDonald’s and Taco Bell to Sonic and Starbucks have started offering combo meals, $1 menus, increased rewards and more to capture inflation-stricken consumers’ money.

According to a recent report by the consulting firm Revenue Management Solutions, consumers are visiting restaurants less than before: almost 40 percent of respondents said they were cutting back on spending in this area.

Wendy’s has already launched a $5 Biggie Bag, a $3 Breakfast Combo Pack, and a discounted Honey Buddy in recent months, so once the $1 Frosty deal is over, there might be another one coming.

But it will be interesting to see what the chain will offer as a replacement for the Triple Berry treat. In past years, the chain has offered seasonal favorite flavors like pumpkin spice and peppermint.
