The Acolyte was officially cancelled, and the Disney+ star Wars Series will not see a season 2. This means a new era in star Wars may never be seen again, which is a shame. Viewership is important, and the show failed to draw enough attention to a mixed story.
Here are 11 things I loved about The Acolyte and 11 things that probably contributed to his cancellation:
1.
LOVED: Lightsaber action at the highest level
2.
HATED: It’s the worst crime thing you’ll ever see
4.
HATED: “Evil” Amandla Stenberg
5.
LOVED: Sol carried the series on his back
6.
HATED: The Jedi felt small
8.
HATED: Killing underdeveloped characters
9.
LOVED: Qimir is the crazy villain we’ve been waiting for
10.
HATED: Witches witches (Aftermath)
11.
LOVED: Cortosis is the right kind of “rare” that I want in star Wars
12.
HATED: A galaxy small, small away
13.
LOVED: The Jedi robes were awesome and the show’s wardrobe was really impressive
14.
HATED: The “twin trope” was the weak link
15.
LOVED: Imperfections of the Jedi
16.
HATED: Mae’s inconsistent character (and there was no resolution)
17.
LOVED: Big and small moments brought fresh air into the star Wars universe
18.
HATED: Dialogue felt like it was generated by AI in places
19.
LOVED: The bleeding crystal was an unforgettable moment
20.
HATED: These flashback episodes
21.
BELOVED: The Era of the High Republic
22.
HATED: The finale doomed the show
Overall, the show had more bad than good, but I still enjoyed the good stuff. What do you all think? Tell me something you liked and didn’t like The Acolyte in the comments below!
