What is BiP app? Turkish messaging app booms on Google Play Store and App Store despite WhatsApp privacy concerns

After Facebook-owned WhatsApp made major changes to its privacy policy, internet users are flocking to other social messaging platforms like Signal and Telegram. One of the messaging applications that has also emerged as a popular choice is “BiP”. Turkey-based messaging app BiP has gained millions of users outside of Turkish borders, according to the developer of the app.

What is the BiP app?

The Turkish app promotes itself as a safe platform. According to the description on the Google Play Store, “BiP is a safe, easy-to-use, FREE communication and living platform that offers seamless communication and a wide range of useful features such as instant translations in 106 languages ​​and exchange rates.”

Available on both mobile and web, BiP allows users to make video and audio calls with up to 10 people, as well as share videos, pictures and locations.

Where does the BiP app come from and where can you download it?

BiP is a Turkish messaging application. It was developed by a developer called BiP AS. The app is currently available on Android and iOS platforms. The application is also available on the web.

Since the change in WhatsApp’s policy, the BiP app has been gaining more and more users. On the Google Play Store, BiP now ranks first in Bangladesh, Bahrain, Pakistan, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia, GSM operator Turkcell said in a statement. In total, the app has been downloaded over 65 million times.
