What is the biggest omission from the AEW All In 2024 card? | Question of the day

Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

While the lineup for AEW All In 2024 isn’t 100% set in stone, and we know Tony Khan has a penchant for adding things to Zero Hour on the day of the show, we also know that not everyone can make it onto the show. It’s simply impossible. As such, a whole host of wrestlers will be out, including some pretty big names, and not just the reinforcement talent or the less successful performers.

My question to you today is “What do you think is the biggest omission in the current lineup for AEW All In 2024?”

As for my answer…

Barring injuries, as those are obviously forgivable, I’d say the most obvious person would be Kazuchika Okada. He had his match with Claudio Castagnoli on Dynamite, but since that ended in a draw and Castagnoli was included elsewhere on the card (mind you, PAC, another person I originally planned to answer here), it’s a strange decision to leave Okada off the card entirely.

I would imagine he’ll probably make an appearance anyway to help the Young Bucks and/or Jack Perry defend their titles, but it’s odd that he’s not actually in a fight. This is a company that prioritizes wrestling more than anything else, and he’s not only a big draw, but one of the featured talents with a major title on the line. I understand there’s a philosophy to stretch things out, get something on TV, and also keep an eye on a potential Castagnoli rematch for All Out since it’s only a couple of weeks away, but it’s so odd to see so many others find their way back onto the card, only for Okada to be singled out as one of the few notable exceptions.

I’m still surprised Jon Moxley, Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher aren’t there to throw a few more names out there. Then again, Mox hasn’t wrestled since dropping the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship to Tetsuya Naito in June, so I guess that shouldn’t be too surprising, and Takeshita hasn’t competed in G1 for the past month, wrestling exclusively for New Japan. But Fletcher? Weird.

Then again, who’s to say Moxley won’t be added to the Casino Gauntlet match? Honestly, anyone can fill one of those spots, even Okada. But I think it’s less likely that Okada will get there, as I don’t think he can lose, and I don’t think he will win either. If he was in the match, they probably would have announced it beforehand.
