What the drivers do in their free time

The Formula 1 summer break offers drivers and team members the opportunity to escape the intense demands of the Grand Prix season, allowing them to retreat to their favourite holiday destinations and indulge in their preferred activities, far from the pressure of race weekends.

F1 drivers value this single mid-season break as a rare opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family. If the season ends before the full onset of winter, they have a longer break of 3-4 months in which to recharge their batteries before the start of the next grueling season.

While many drivers chose exotic destinations to make the most of their free time, some decided to stay at home while others continued working on brand promotions. His teammate George Russell escaped the summer heat with a refreshing boat trip, presumably off the coast of Spain, with friends and his girlfriend Carmen Mundt.

Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso confirmed that a racer can never stop racing. He uploaded a video of himself doing fast laps around a race track, but this time in a go-kart.

Alpine driver Esteban Ocon also enjoys his time at sea, immersing himself in the tranquil beauty of Ibiza’s crystal clear blue waters and experiencing an epic sunset with his partner.

It looked like Pierre Gasly was also on holiday by the sea until the caption suggested he was busy with promotional activities. Gasly lives the saying “the work never stops” literally.

Williams driver Logan Sargeant proved that he loves donuts as much as any other racer.

Lando NorrisThe latest update was part of a promotional video featuring McLaren in collaboration with Battersea Dog and Cat Sanctuary.

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc did a bit of promotional work by relaxing on the beach in Monte Carlo.

Sauber driver Valtteri Bottas is a passionate cyclist. He was spotted in the wilds of Finland with his cycling partner Tiffany Cromwell as they explored the stunning natural beauty on two wheels.

Bottas’ Sauber teammate Zhou Guanyu He devoted himself to promotional activities and also spent some time with his furry friend SweetCorn.

Nico HulkenbergThe latest post shows him spending a nice time with his family in southern Germany.

As the drivers enjoy their time away from the racetrack, they will return to the world of Formula 1 in two weeks from August 23 to 25 at the Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort.
