Created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, the HBO series offers a glimpse into high finance by following a group of bankers navigating the hectic environment of Pierpoint & Co.’s London office. The eight-episode third season will see Pierpoint make a big bet on a major green energy company.
“Yasmin, Robert and Eric are at the centre of the spectacular IPO of Lumi, a green energy company led by Sir Henry Muck, in a story that reaches to the very top of finance, media and government,” the logline for season 3 reads. “Ever since leaving Pierpoint, Harper has been keen to get back into the addictive thrills of the financial world and finds an unexpected partner in FutureDawn portfolio manager Petra Koenig.”
industry finally gets HBO’s coveted Sunday night slot, which was previously Succession, Game of Thrones and finally House of the Dragon. In an interview with GQ, the show’s co-creator Konrad Kay told the website that he and the other writers were afraid to write “bigger things” in the first two seasons of. industrybut that changed in season 3.
“I don’t think we thought about how big the canvas of the show could be,” he explained. “And in season three, we just thought, well, we might as well throw everything at the wall and try to connect the bank to places outside the bank – to show how the trading floor interacts with newspapers, with this version of conservative politics in our country. We just tried it in a way that I don’t think we did in the first few seasons.”
An exciting new addition to the cast of the third season is Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington, who will play a central role as Sir Henry Muck. The actor told CBS News that he has watched several episodes. industry during the pandemic. “I was totally excited from the first minute,” he told the site.
