Genshin InfluencePatch 5.0 is coming soon and will add the new Natlan region, more story quests to complete, and new characters to collect.
Below we explain when Genshin Influence Maintenance starts and ends, along with the release time of version 5.0. We’ve also added some details about what you can expect from Genshin Influence Patch 5.0.
What time will Genshin Impact be down for maintenance?
Genshin Influence will be out of service for maintenance on Tuesday, August 27th, or Wednesday, August 28th (depending on your time zone) at the following times and will be unavailable for approximately five hours:

When does Genshin Impact version 5.0 launch?
Genshin Influence should return from maintenance with version 5.0 at the following times:
Depending on how maintenance goes, servers may come up earlier or later, but these are the approximate times 5.0 should go live. Typically, Hoyoverse sticks to maintenance times pretty well. There aren’t usually any extended maintenances, but they tend to end early, completing up to an hour before the predicted end time.
What’s new in Genshin Impact version 5.0?
This update is big. In fact, it’s so big that we highly recommend pre-loading the game by updating now if you want to dive into Natlan as soon as the game is available. You can do this through the Hoyoverse launcher on PC and the App Store on iOS. On Android devices, you can simply open the game and follow the on-screen instructions. On PlayStation 4 and 5, you can press the Options button and click “Check for Update.”
5.0 will have a ton of content, including the brand new Natlan region and the new Archon quests that come with it. Three new characters from the Natlan series will also be featured in the gacha banner: Kachina (Geo), Kinich (Dendro), and Mualani (Hydro).
Players will also be able to claim a free five-star character from the standard banner for the first time, so if you’re missing one of the standard characters (Dehya, Keqing, Mona, Qiqi, Jean, Tighnari, or DilucZ) or just want to create constellations, be sure to log in before October 8 to claim this special reward.
