The high priest and high priestess of yachting are back aboard Jeff Bezos’ $485 million midlife-crisis purchase, and once again accompanied by a disturbing host of high-profile celebrities. Koruthe name of the Amazon founder’s most prized possession, has previously attracted the likes of Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. This time, according to Page Six, the holiday quartet was accompanied in Sardinia by Leonardo DiCaprio and his 26-year-old girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti. I can’t imagine this group had much to say other than wishing Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez a happy birthday last year. fashion Cover for the umpteenth time, pretending to know the lyrics to Perry’s single “Woman’s World”, or using keywords like Climate change while we drink beer and shout “Ahoy!”
The eclectic group – united primarily by a desire to spend time with one of the richest men in the world – were photographed boarding Bezos’ boat for lunch on the beach. DiCaprio acted in his usual grumpy manner, while Bloom seemed eager to have her photo taken. Sanchez, who has aggressively courted fashion recognition since collaborating with Bezos, wore a skintight lace dress, while Perry opted for a dizzying combination of chevron hair and fringe. Perhaps she took some style tips from Mrs. Dead Pool lately?
At least I’m glad Bezos is getting his money’s worth in paparazzi photos, considering he spent nearly four years building the 230-foot sailing yacht. That’s totally eco-conscious behavior! Still, it doesn’t hurt to have DiCaprio on board, and Bezos has reportedly considered him a “really close friend” for years. What do they have in common, according to Page Six? “The fight against climate change and their work as environmental activists.” Nothing says saving the planet like a little soirée on the high seas.
