However, when a man gets married, another woman enters his life – his wife – and this sometimes leads to him being torn between the two women. Carlos, for example, was torn when his wife asked him to choose between her food and his mother’s. His reaction was recorded and posted on the TikTok channel (@carlosandsarah) that they run together.
Carlos is the Italian husband of Sarah, who is American. In this video, Sarah stays behind the camera and asks her husband whose cooking he likes better: hers or his mother’s. The 50-second clip begins with Carlos sitting at a table with a plate of food in front of him and a fork in his plate. When she asks him the question, he looks at her, almost hesitant to answer. He tilts his fork innocently to the side.
And before he can say anything, Sarah says, “Mine, right?” He stutters, trying to say something. He drops his fork, and instead of answering the question, he bursts into a flood of love messages for his wife. “I love you. I love you so much, more than anything. But as for the food,” he says, moving back slightly, then mumbles, “I’m sorry.”

Carlos, meanwhile, seems horrified as he imagines how she might react to his response. “I have to be honest, right,” he says quietly, trying to offer a logical explanation: “It doesn’t mean anything. I mean, still, I love you so much. It’s just another special thing.” In the last seconds of the clip, he keeps repeating the phrase “To be honest,” while shrugging his shoulders and having the look of a “golden retriever husband” in his eyes.
