Bruce Wayne and Barbara Gordon have met in two Batman Adjustments – will Batman: The Masked Crusader shall we make three of them? Or are the Dark Knight and the future Batgirl destined to remain “just friends” in the universe of the Prime Video show?

Will Bruce and Barbara get together in Batman: Caped Crusader?
The answer is no, Bruce and Barbara are not together in Batman: The Masked Crusaderand is unlikely to do so in the future.
In DCs Batman In comics and most related media, Bruce Wayne and Barbara Gordon have a close bond, but they are never a couple. However, this is not the case in the DC Animated Universe. Here, Bruce and Babs were together off-screen at some point during their superhero careers (as in Batman: Beyond the Past). This did not please some fans, given the age difference between the two and the initial mentor/protégé dynamic. Batman and Batgirl argue in the 2016 animated film Batman: The Killing Joke – which takes place outside the DCAU but was produced by one of its co-architects, Bruce Timm – also raised similar objections.
Still Batman: The Masked Crusader could probably get away with an affair between Bruce and Barbara. After all, Bruce and Barbara are about the same age in Crusader with cape Kanon, and the former is not currently the crime-fighting teacher of the latter. This also applies to Timm – the co-developer of Batman: The Masked Crusader and acts as showrunner – to revive Bruce and Barbara’s DCAU romance? No. Timm has publicly confirmed that Bruce Wayne and Barbara Gordon will be in Batman: The Masked Crusader. Hell, he put an end to the speculation with a message board post before Season 1 even started!
“The relationship between Batman and Barbara in Crusader with cape is purely platonic. Honestly,” wrote Timm. However, the celebrated animator also revealed that the idea of bringing Bruce and Babs together did during production. “Funny story: Early in our development process, one of our executives enthusiastically asked, ‘Hey, what if Batman and Barbara got romantically involved?’, apparently unaware of the uncomfortable history of that particular subject,” Timm recalled. “I said we wouldn’t do that and explained why. I’m not going to tread on that hot potato again.”

Are Bruce and Barbara dating someone else in Batman: Caped Crusader Season 1?
Yes – at least Bruce does. We see Master Wayne in town with more than one young lady, including movie star Yvonne Frances. The wealthy playboy also flirts with Selina Kyle/Catwoman, and the sparks between the two are similar to those between their costumed alter egos. So Bruce probably has no room in his life for an affair with Barbara!

In contrast, Barbara’s love life is practically non-existent in Batman: The Masked Crusader. This is probably because Babs is married to her job as a public defender. Whatever the reason, it seems clear that Timm has remained true to his word and Batman: The Masked CrusaderBruce Wayne and Barbara Gordon are not getting together anytime soon.
