Will Tim Drake bring the team the luck it needs?

Almost a month after TitansAt the premiere of the third season on HBO Max, TVLine got a first look at the character Tim Drake, played by Jay Lycurgo (I could destroy you).

Lycurgo — who also happens to play a (different) role in The Batmanhits theaters in March 2022 – will star as Tim Drake, a street kid who has managed to grow up in Gotham without losing his indelible belief in heroism. Tim’s easygoing demeanor is backed up by a near-genius mind, a natural detective with an eye for detail well beyond his years. In fact…

“When the Titans arrive in Gotham, an obsessed young man – Tim Drake – suspects he has unlocked the identities of Batman and Robin,” showrunner Greg Walker tells TVLine, “and finds himself drawn into Gotham’s dark secrets.”

Tim, who takes on the role of Robin in the DC story, works with his parents at the Excellent Gotham Golden Noodle House. (The Chinese characters on his hoodie above mean “gold stone,” a symbol of good luck/prosperity.)

Also new in season 3 are Savannah Welch as Gotham Police Commissioner Barbara Gordon and Vincent Kartheiser (mad Men) as Jonathan Crane, an inmate of Arkham Asylum who, as the Scarecrow, “terrorized Gotham City by exploiting his enemies’ phobias with poisons.”

Meanwhile, returning for season 3 are Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Anna Diop as Kory Anders/Koriand’r/Starfire, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth/Raven, Curran Walters as Jason Todd (who will assume the identity of Red Hood), Ryan Potter as Gar Logan/Beast Boy, Conor Leslie as Donna Troy/Wonder Girl, Damaris Lewis as Blackfire (check out her super suit), Joshua Orpin as Conner Kent/Superboy, Alan Ritchson as Hank Hall/Hawk, and Minka Kelly as Dawn Granger/Dove.

The first three episodes of Titans The third season premieres on Thursday, August 12th. The remaining episodes will air every Thursday until October 21st.
