Using PlayStation controllers on Windows PCs just got better.
Sony released an update to the PlayStation Firmware Updater for PC on Tuesday, renaming it the PlayStation Accessories app. The Accessories app now lets players customize their PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers on PC, including remapping buttons, adjusting thumbstick sensitivity, and fine-tuning trigger dead zones.
Players can also set up multiple custom profiles, so if you switch from a shooter like Call of Duty to an adventure title like God of War, you can easily change your settings without having to fine-tune your controller again. You can easily download the PlayStation Accessories app now.

Analysis: A cool offer for a high-end controller
Obviously, this rollout will mostly benefit those who buy the $200 DualSense Edge, while regular DualSense owners will be limited to continuing to update their firmware. Still, it’s cool to see.
PlayStation has slowly but surely introduced more PC support and brought trophies to the PC with Ghost of Tsushima at the beginning of the year, among other things.
The list of PlayStation Studios games for Windows PC continues to grow, with more and more PC games taking advantage of the DualSense’s unique haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, including previously PlayStation console exclusives such as Marvel’s Spider-Man and Returnal.
As for the future, not much is known about upcoming PlayStation games yet, but the PC port of God of War Ragnarök will be released on September 19, 2024. The Until Dawn remake and LEGO Horizon Adventures will be released for Windows PC in October 2024 and sometime later in the year, respectively.
