Wondering if your iPhone has hidden apps? Learn how to easily find and manage them

Not sure if there are hidden apps on your iPhone? These apps may be hidden in folders or on other screens. You can find them using a variety of methods, such as using the search feature, checking all home screens, and browsing your app library. In addition, checking App Restrictions or Parental Controls can help you find apps that are otherwise hidden.

Understanding these techniques will give you full control over your iPhone and ensure that no app stays out of sight. Although hiding apps can be done intentionally or accidentally, it can be difficult to find them, especially since iOS 18 is expected to introduce new features that could complicate the process.

Apps can be hidden for two main reasons:

1. Intentional concealment: You may have intentionally hidden an app to make it invisible.

2. Unauthorized installation: In rare cases, someone with access to your device may have secretly installed an app, but Apple’s security measures usually prevent this.

If someone has your App Store password, they could potentially install and hide apps, but this scenario is rare.

Looking for hidden apps

Before iOS 18 is released, you can use the following methods to find hidden apps:

1. Check the app library: If an app doesn’t appear on your home screen, it might be in the App Library. Swipe right on your home screen to access it. Apps are organized into categories. You can also swipe down to see a list of all your installed apps.

2. Search in the App Store: If you think an app is missing, it may have been accidentally deleted. Open the App Store, tap your account icon, then select Purchased to view and reinstall previously downloaded apps. If the app is missing from the Store, it may have been removed.
