World-class data center comes to the city of St. Louis

$150 million investment in downtown St. Louis

TierPoint, a cloud computing company, has announced plans to invest $150 million in an enterprise-class data center located at 2300 Locust Street in St. Louis. This facility will join TierPoint’s 40 other world-class data centers located across the United States.

The building is 130,000 square feet, with TierPoint planning to build 22,600 square feet of manufacturing space. This space will create nine permanent positions and 80 construction jobs.

The St. Louis Economic Development Partnership and our economic development partners were happy to assist with TierPoint’s expansion. Our partners included: Ameren Missouri, City of St. Louis, Greater St. Louis, Inc., Missouri Partnership and St. Louis Development Corporation.

In a press release, St. Louis Mayor Tishaura O. Jones said, “TierPoint’s decision to invest so heavily in downtown St. Louis is a strong vote of confidence in our plans for the future. We continue to build a downtown that serves as the cultural center of the St. Louis region, and I am grateful to TierPoint for their investment in the promising future.”
