Wrestling announces 2024-2025 schedule – Ohio University

ATHENS, Ohio — Ohio Wrestling has released its schedule for the 2024-25 season, Head Coach Joel Greenlee announced today (21 August)stAll times shown are Eastern Time (EST).

The Bobcats begin the season on Saturday, November 2nd at 4:00 p.m. in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Ohio returns to action a week later on Saturday, November 9th.thin East Lansing, Michigan, for the Michigan State Open starting at 9:30 a.m.


The Bobcats return to the Convocation Center on Saturday, November 16th for their first home game of the season.th at 7:00 p.m. against Michigan State.

The Bobcats will travel again to Annapolis, Maryland, for the Navy Classic, which will take place on Saturday, November 23rd.rd Starting at 10:00 a.m., Ohio Wrestling will travel across the country to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in the Cliff Keen Invitational. The two-day invitational begins on Friday, December 6th.th at 12:00 and on Saturday, December 7th starts at 13:00

Next, Ohio travels to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to face Drexel. The contest, which takes place on Tuesday, December 17,th. Following the game against Drexel, the Bobcats will be in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, for a meeting on Saturday, December 18th.th at 7 p.m. The Bobcats return to the Convocation Center on Sunday, December 22ndand for a game against Gardner-Webb. Ohio hosts the Runnin’ Bulldogs starting at 5:00 p.m. It is the Bobcats’ last game of the calendar year.

Following their game against the Vikings, the Bobcats will remain at home for a game against Cleveland State on Friday, January 3rd.rd at 7:00 p.m. to ring in the New Year! One week later, Ohio heads to Cedar Falls, Iowa for the Mid Major National Duals for a two-day match starting Friday, January 10th – Saturday, January 11thon both days, the competition begins at 1:00 p.m. The Bobcats will finish the regular season on Sunday, January 19, again in Athens, Ohio, at the Convocation Center.th at 1:00 p.m. against Edinboro.

The Bobcats will then open their Mid-American Conference with three consecutive games at the Convocation Center! The first game will be against Northern Illinois on Friday, January 24th.th at 7:00 p.m., followed by Central Michigan a week later on Sunday, February 2and at 1:00 p.m. Finally, the Bobcats’ last home game of the season against Kent State on Friday, February 7th.th at 19:00


The Bobcats take a break from conference play and travel to Edwardsville, Illinois to play Southern Illinois University on Friday, February 14th.th at 8:00 p.m. Ohio ends the month on Saturday, February 22and in Buffalo, New York, at 1:00 p.m. against the Bulls

Two weeks later, the Bobcats will travel to Lawrence Twp, New Jersey to compete in the Mid-American Conference Championships, which will take place Friday, March 7, throughth until Saturday, March 8th with start times of 12:00 and 11:30 a.m.

Finally, the Bobcats will look to build on their strong presence at last year’s NCAA Championships. Ohio, which sent three wrestlers to the championships in Kansas City, Mississippi, last year, will look to bring more to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this year. The NCAA Championships begin on Thursday, March 20.th and closing on Saturday, 22 Marchand.
