X-user jailed for inciting unrest over Southport stabbing

ALBAWABA – 35-year-old X-user Wayne O’Rourke was recently sentenced to three years in prison for “inciting” unrest amid ongoing protests in the UK following the Southport stabbing.

According to Daily Mail, O’Rourke admitted in an interview that he earned £1,400 a month for voicing his opinions on X and that he had over 90,000 followers on the platform. In addition, he posted many tweets expressing his support for the ongoing protests in the country.

He also gave advice to the rioters on how to remain anonymous. In one of his posts, he mentioned the tragic attack in Southport in which three girls were killed, but said that the attack was carried out by a Muslim, which turned out to be false.

The suspect responsible for the stabbing is 17-year-old Axel Rudakubana, who was born in Cardiff to Christian parents who immigrated from Rwanda, Africa.

Users of X discussed the issue at hand in the comment sections. Here is what some had to say:

“In no civilized country do people go to prison for their opinions. Yes, we may detest the opinions of others, but we have free will. People who riot are responsible for the riots.”

“The British government is the enemy.”

“I think it raises questions about the legitimacy of the British government. Are there no human rights left in the land of Magna Carta?”
