You don’t need to know the difference between a three-card spread and a Celtic Cross spread to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your sun sign! Here’s how I do it: I shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces, plus a general card for each so you can get advice specific to your personality. Let’s get started!

ONE GENERAL CARD FOR ALL: QUEEN OF SWORDS

Take charge this week. Mercury retrograde is here! My advice for getting through this: Don’t make assumptions about what other people are doing – or not doing. Get informed. And don’t be surprised if you have to do things yourself. Check the details with your own eyes. The Queen of Swords is a taskmaster. She is a force for good, but on her own terms. She takes charge of her life because she knows it is the result of her own choices and reactions. Be like her this week!

ARIES: KNIGHT OF WANDS

Time for an adventure, Aries! What inspiring words to hear on a Monday, right? The Knight of Wands is your best friend in the tarot and represents the fun, wild, spontaneous, and brave side of your character. You love going on a wild mission and making a name for yourself. So, buckle up and enjoy this ride. Set a goal to pursue in the coming week. Team up with a fellow explorer and set out to discover new territory. Have fun, live to the fullest, and be happy.

TAURUS: NINE OF SWORDS

Stop bottling up everything that worries you, Taurus. Unspoken fears will only harm you from the inside. If left unspoken, they cannot be brought back down to earth. The Nine of Swords asks you to put those fears into words. Write them down or say them out loud, preferably to a trusted friend. I promise you that most of those fears will evaporate when you do that. This is all out of control.

GEMINI: FIVE OF COINS

People are attracted to vulnerability. You’re not good at this because you hide your true feelings by default, especially the painful ones. Open up this week, Gemini. The Five of Coins shows that whatever is hurting you right now is a shared experience. Someone else is feeling it too or has dealt with a similar situation in the past. Reach out, say how you feel, ask for advice, and listen carefully. Not only can you get help, but you can also become closer to others.

CANCER: PAGE OF WANDS

Finish what you start, Cancer. You’re hardworking and like to do things well, but you might be tempted to do things you know you’ll probably never do. It’s easy to say yes to future events and invitations. But your future self will feel bad when the time comes and you have to make excuses. Avoid that outcome and be selective about what you plan to do this week. Be realistic about your resources and time, and be honest about your true interests.

LION: NINE OF COINS

Nothing worth achieving is easy, is it? Everything worthwhile takes time and effort. The Nine of Coins makes that clear to you this week, as you realize how long it will take you to accomplish something important. Don’t panic, Leo. You have all the time in the world. Take it easy. Break your goal down into a series of small milestones and set deadlines for when you want to achieve them. This was never going to be a task that was going to be done overnight; accept that and deal with it. The rewards are worth pursuing regardless. In fact, the more time you put into it, the better they will be!

VIRGO: THE LOVERS

A new romance could be in the cards this week, Virgo. Cupid is in town and ready to give you the perfect partner! This could be a Mercury-ruled sign – Virgos and Gemini. Or it could be someone who catches your attention but also confuses you. Many first impressions are misleading. Take the time to follow up and start a conversation to check for chemistry. Be open-minded. This new person may not be what you expect. Have fun!

Libra: Temperance

Temperance calls for moderation and balance. What have you overdone or underdone, Libra? What feels like it’s gone to extremes and created tension or pressure? Tone it down this week. Find the middle ground and you’ll feel safe, secure and grounded. Do grounding exercises, eat healthy, get 8 hours of sleep and relax. You need a little reset. Do this by bringing peace and harmony into your daily routine and lifestyle.

SCORPIO: FOUR OF WANDS

Time to act, Scorpio! You’re ready to show what you can do and how far you’ve come. The Four of Wands is a strong promise for promotion and advancement – perhaps literally through work, or perhaps through a change of location that opens new doors for you, or a new study opportunity that helps you learn new skills. Keep your eyes peeled and keep an open mind, because this opportunity could come from an unexpected source.

SAGITTARIUS: TWO OF BARTS

Tarot card Two of WandsTarot card Two of Wands

You’ve started something and it’s going well, not at full speed…but almost. Say, take a breath. Before this gets ripped out from under you, take a minute to think about what needs to happen at this stage so you can build a solid foundation. Don’t fall for false errands, shortcuts, and options that sound too good to be true. You’re doing this for good reasons, so treat it with respect. The Two of Wands demands focus and diligence from you this week. Deliver both and your project/role/activity/relationship will be a success.

CAPRICORN: THE WORLD

The World represents Saturn, your ruling planet. The World is also the last card of the Tarot, so it feels like this is going to be a really important week in your life story, Capricorn. This week is all about endings—the good ones, because it means you’ve come to a natural conclusion or achieved a hard-won goal. You did it! Celebrate, reflect, and then set your sights on the next mountain you want to climb. Every ending precedes a new beginning, and this week marks that transition for you. Capricorns love goals, so set a new one. The higher you aim, the better the outcome. You’re a climber!

AQUARIUS: JUSTICE

Aquarius is a powerful sign that represents truth, purity, and humanity. Aquarius is the activist of the zodiac, standing up for the voiceless, the vulnerable, and the victims. The Justice tarot card shows that you are shaken by something and are ready to use your intelligence, energy, and voice to raise awareness and perhaps find a solution. You have natural gifts in this area, so use them well.

PISCES: SIX OF SWORDS

Tarot card Six of SwordsTarot card Six of Swords

Take a deep breath, Pisces, and consciously let go of an old version of yourself. That version is what got you here! Thank them, learn from them, hug them, and say goodbye. This conscious ritual marks a turning point, for a new six-month chapter of growth is unfolding before you, and it requires a new and improved version of you to show up and take it on. Let go of any past missteps or doubts. Be confident, be proud, be optimistic, and get going. You can do this.
