Zayn Malik has joined the beard club!
The 31-year-old singer surprised his fans with a new look, which included a long beard, in a video posted to Instagram on Friday, August 23.
Malik looked noticeably different as he showed off his new beard, sideburns and longer hair while wearing a cream shirt and matching pants. In the clip, he sat to sing an acapella version of his song “Shoot At Will” from his latest album. Room under the stairs.
The beard look is a marked departure from the British singer’s typical look, which consists of shorter, trimmed hair with a hint of stubble.
“Your hair 🥹 I’m dying……😩,” commented one follower, with another adding, “I wasn’t ready😆.”
“Tell me about my hair care routine because the heck your hair grows so fast,” said a third.

Malik’s hairdresser Mike Webb Jr. joked in the comments: “This is a man who explores the world and is loyal to his barber 😅,” to which a follower replied to Webb: “Please don’t cut his hair – we want a Zayn with long hair.”

Malik’s latest transformation came after his milestone concert in London in May.
The singer appeared in a much more polished outfit as he performed at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire. It was his first-ever solo headline gig and his first concert since leaving One Direction in 2015.
Malik played several songs from his latest album, Room under the stairswhich was released in the same month, was made available to fans for the first time.

In a post Malik shared on Instagram after the memorable show, he wrote: “It’s been 8 days since I performed at London’s O2 SBE… my first performance in over 8 years. The overwhelming love and support I’ve felt has left me speechless. All I can say is thank you and I can’t wait to see you all again.”
“I am eternally grateful to each and every one of you who has supported me over the years and made this possible. See you all again soon xx Z,” he added.
