The repair kits cover tasks such as Replacing leaky coolant connections, repairing defective parking locks, changing speed or temperature sensors and replacing drive shafts. Each kit contains all necessary spare parts and fastening elements, so that the removal of the electric motor or the axle drive is not necessary. However, ZF Aftermarket emphasizes that only qualified technicians with appropriate training should carry out these high voltage repairs.

“Workshops are seeing more and more electric cars and need spare parts to service them. As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of electric drives, ZF is now making its products available to the independent aftermarket in our region. We are excited to launch these specially compiled kits for 25 electric axle drive repair scenarios,” said Mark Cali, Head of Independent Aftermarket, USC for ZF Aftermarket.

Although electric motors generally experience less wear than conventional combustion engines, repairs may still be necessary after years of use. The 25 repair kits for electric axle drives can be ordered. Detailed information on the kits and compatible vehicle models can be found in the ZF Aftermarket online product catalog.

In addition to these kits, ZF Aftermarket also has 10 new part numbers for TRW brake padsextending coverage to over 2 million vehicles. This is one of the 255 new products that will be launched for passenger cars in 2024 under the ZF, LEMFÖRDER, SACHS, TRW and WABCO brands.
